So by the time you’ve killed everything you’ve only killed a handful of enemies, and have only gained a few levels. The game plays in a traditional turn based fashion, like most JRPGs, and this is exciting enough, except for the fact that there’s only a set amount of enemy spawns in the game. Sure you are the cliffhanger from a different point of view, but at the end of the day, it didn’t feel like it was worth the journey. But even this doesn’t change up the story much. There’s some character building moments, and you learn the big motivation as to why Haru is going on this adventure, but much in the way of anything else.Īfter you beat the game, you do get to replay it as Kuroko, but even then, you only see a few scenes about what Kuroko was doing in the story, when she wasn’t around Haru. Between a few story related scenes, the game doesn’t have much. Though when it comes to JRPGs, the plot usually takes a while to pick up steam, so with this series being episodic, the opening is not very enticing. But how can he? When access to and from the city is guarded by the evil empire? One day, Haru hears about something called “Sky” from a fortune teller, and dreams of seeing it. Paired up with his best friend Kuroko, they spend their days kicking around the city, hoping for life to get better. Haru has always wanted to get out of the underground city, and see what’s beyond it. It was released for Consoles and PC in 2018.
